What does it mean that XOMD products were rigorously tested in a double-blind, placebo-controlled study?

Double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical studies are one of the highest standards in clinical research. Placebo controlled means that XOMD products were tested and compared to products with the same vehicle, but not necessarily the same beneficial ingredients as the XOMD products. Double blind means that neither the study participants nor the physicians conducting the research knew whether the participants received either XOMD products or placebo formulations. In many assessments, the results that study investigators and participants who received XOMD products observed were statistically significant – meaning they could not be explained by chance alone.
