The biology & chemistry

Oxytocin is primarily released from the hypothalamus in the brain, but it's also released by keratinocyte and fibroblast cells in the epidermis and dermis - the top layers of the skin. These cells are responsible for creating the “building blocks” of the skin: collagen, elastin and internal hyaluronic acid. These cells also express oxytocin receptors. By binding to these receptors, oxytocin can protect keratinocytes and fibroblasts from the ravages of potent inflammatory messengers that inflict skin aging.

The formula for success

The formula, which we call OX Factor, took years to get just right, and when it was finally ready, we put it to the test. But not just any type of test. We challenged it in the most rigorously designed double-blinded, placebo-controlled, randomized trial. Such a strict standard of testing is rarely, if ever, done for topical cosmeceuticals. But if we were going to put our names on it, we had to convince ourselves first.

When we received the study results, we were astonished. Those who used XOMD experienced robust and statistically significant improvement, as compared to placebo, in skin quality and confidence. But to our surprise, they also reported a profound satisfaction increase in intimate relationships. Romantic relations improved in 90% of categories tested.
